Emily Chidalek is an award winning costume designer and technician located in South Bend, Indiana. Emily freelances with local semi-professional theater companies including South Bend Lyric Opera, Art 4 South Bend, and Ensemble Chattanooga. She has also worked at the university level for IU South Bend, Notre Dame Music and FTT, Western Michigan University, and Chattanooga College. Additionally, Emily has been the resident costume designer and technician at Culver Academies since 2018. 

Emily holds a BA in Theatre Performance, and a masters degree in Clinical Counseling, both from IU South Bend. 

When working with performers Emily focuses on consent in fittings, representing diverse body sizes, gender representation, and culturally significant needs.
